The smallest painting I've ever done. Used a two-hair brush cut down from a 0000. You can even see the red and blue threads through a magnifying glass! Housed in an 1860's era frame as the original photograph was taken by Anthony Berger, at the Brady Gallery in Washington, D.C. February 9, 1864. Was used on $5 from 1914 through 2000. Engraved by Charles Burt.
