A demonstration painting for the San Diego Watercolor Society Water Conservation Paint-out, this large watercolor used as little water as possible in honor of that theme. I chose a Bower vine to illustrate the beauty of flowers without having to paint the entire garden, which, following a healthy rain, was in full bloom at the Cuyamaca College Water Conservation display at their Spring Garden Festival...
The resulting painting earned a Second Place in the May show at SDWS... ...and SOLD at the First Friday reception!
